Christian Lawrence, alumnus of the Extended Diploma in Football at City of Oxford College, has joined a long list of former students who now have successful sporting careers around the globe.
Craig Adey, teacher at the city centre campus said: “Christian has just started a coaching career in Shanghai, we wish him luck and we know he’ll do really well. This means we now have three students who completed their qualifications at City of Oxford College and are now working and coaching in China. We also have a former student playing football in Oman and another playing futsal in Italy.
“Along with this we have three lads currently in America on a scholarship, plus another coaching for a team playing in the Australian A-league. We are proud that the programme we offer in partnership with Oxford City FC can offer our students opportunities not only in this country, but all around the world.”
Oxford City FC tweeted: “These lads, along with the many others that are currently at University or in good jobs all over the UK are proof of the opportunities that can be created.”. They continue: “We are very proud of them and everybody else that are still finding the way ahead. It shows what hard work, passion and dedication can do. Keep up the great work all. To our current and future students, these are just some of the outcomes that can be achieved”
